Why subscribe to Paid in Exposure?

Paid in Exposure is a newsletter by journalist and editor Carli Velocci that digs into our current online media dystopia and what we can do about it. Probably can’t do much about a broken system, but at least we can become more informed about it and hopefully have a little fun along the way.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of subjects this newsletter will tackle in future issues:

  • Abusive workplaces

  • The frailty of ad economics

  • Why movies and TV constantly get journalism wrong

  • Why so many mainstream publications can’t stop talking about trans people

  • What is SEO, and why is it everywhere?

  • The problems video games journalism is actually facing (and no, it’s not ethics).

  • Reader distrust and how we can’t let it control our lives…

  • … but maybe can help build that trust again

Stay up-to-date

You won’t have to worry about missing anything. Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox.

But do I have to pay for Paid in Exposure?

Currently, Paid in Exposure is free to read. As we (potentially) build a subscriber base, I might consider paid options and subscriptions. Keep an eye on this space and I’ll keep you posted on that. While the newsletter is free, I still have to eat, so if you want to tip me you can do so on Ko-Fi.
